USA WEEKEND’s Make A Difference Day is the nation’s largest day of community service with millions of people rallying to the aid of their neighbors each year. This annual day of goodwill is sponsored in partnership with Points of Light. Newman’s Own, a longtime supporter, provides $130,000 in awards to select Make A Difference Day projects. Awards will be presented in Washington, D.C., next April. Newspapers are a powerful catalyst for awareness and action in the communities they serve, and Make A Difference Day is an excellent way to flex those muscles.
